On Tuesday, January 26, the Chairman of Libya’s NOC Board of Directors, Eng. Mustafa Sanalla, received Pascal Breant, the General Manager of Total Company, and his delegation, to discuss projects in the country. Abulgasem Shengher, Member of the Board of Directors for Exploration and Production, also attended.
The discussions included both organizations strategic plans to expedite the development of both North Gialo and NC-98 in fast track both fields will increase the company’s production by +/- 180 MBOPD. Also the discussion included the reinstatement of Dahra and Bahi field as well as Mabriuk field operated by Mabrouk oil operation. Also, NOC has requested Total to provide their experience in the field of renewable energy, as NOC is studying few cases to utilize the renewable energy in some small fields as pilot projects.
Several other important topics were discussed, most notably the lack of budgets and its impact on the planned field’s development programs, and the urgent need to cover day to day maintenance, well workovers, pipeline repairs and replacement and storage tanks cleaning and repairs, etc
