The Nigerian Content Act has been set up toensure the petroleum industry creates local value and offers maximum benefit to Nigerians.

 

The impact will be felt nationally as increased job creation encourages youth and community engagement.

 

The CWC Group recognize the importance of Local Content in the oil & gas industry therefore we areproud to announce the launch of our new Conference Practical Nigerian Content on 25-27th October 2011 to be held in Port Harcourt.   

 

The Forum is supported by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board,Rivers State Government, Bayelsa State GovernmentandDelta State Government and will include a one day conference, a site visit to the heart of the industry and a one day training seminar.

 

The Practical Nigerian Content Conference will discuss how the State Governments can support Nigerian Content initiatives, the strategies and expectations on NNPC, its subsidiaries and the government.

 

Speakers will feature RT Honourable Rotimi Amaechi, Executive Governor, Rivers State, Engr Ernest C Nwapa, Executive Secretary, Nigerian Content Development & Monitoring Board, Hon Emmanuel Uduaghan Executive Governor, Delta State, Hon Timipre Sylva, Executive Governor, Bayelsa State, Dr Kingsley Ojoh, Executive Director, Total E&P Nigeria Ltd.

 

The Site Visit to the Onne Oil & Gas Free Zone will showNigerian Content in action and explore the capacity building programmes in place. Onne Oil & Gas free zone is a bold initiative and a major success story for Nigeria as it supports many local jobs helping drive forward infrastructural development. Practical Nigerian Content Training Seminar provides an in-depth analysis of the key issues faced when implementing Nigerian Content.
