Sonatrach announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CC7 (China National Chemical Engineering & Construction Corporation Seven Ltd.), relating to the development of feasibility studies of a petrochemical complex for steam cracking of mixed feed, composed of naphtha from the Skikda refinery and ethane from the GL1K complex, for the production of polyethylene of all grades as well as other products, including propylene and butadiene.
This study will also focus on estimating the amount of investment and the marketing of finished products from this petrochemical complex.
The investment will be made in project financing mode supported by national and international banks.
The MoU was signed at the level of the General Management of Sonatrach by Boutouba Batouche, Vice-President of the Refining and Petrochemicals Activity and Long Haiyang, President of the CC7 Company. The ceremony took place in the presence of the CEO of Sonatrach, Toufik Hakkar.
CC7 is a national Chinese company specializing in the engineering and construction of industrial projects, particularly in refining and petrochemicals. She has carried out many large-scale projects around the world.
