Sonatrach and the German company Hansen & Rosenthal Company (H&R) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the realization of a feasibility study of an industrial project in Algeria in partnership with H&R for the recovery of by-products from the lubricant units of the Arzew refinery.
According to a Sonatrach statement, the potential project would allow the production of specialty products with high added value such as those used in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and tire industries. The products would target both the national and export markets.
