As part of the management of the issue of encroachment on the protection perimeters of Sonatrach installations and hydrocarbon structures, the Chairman and CEO of Sonatrach proceeded, on September 28, 2020, to the installation of a Monitoring Committee dedicated to questions related to regulatory compliance.
The Committee will be responsible for establishing an inventory of the situation and supervising the implementation of action plans intended to limit the risks for local residents and the protection of the company’s facilities against the risks induced by encroachments.
This action takes place within the framework of the reinforcement of the protection and control measures of the major risks associated with the industrial activities of Sonatrach.
