Algeria’s national hydrocarbon company Sonatrach and the Greek energy group DEPA have concluded an agreement relating to the extension of the long-term contract for the sale / purchase of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) on the Greek market, from January 1, 2022.
In addition to the delivery of LNG cargoes to the Greek energy group DEPA, the agreement also provides for an adaptation of the existing contractual terms in line with current and future developments in the energy markets.
Through this agreement, the two parties confirm and consolidate their historic partnership for the supply of gas to the Greek market in a market situation marked by rising prices and the multiplication of players.
Commercial relations between Sonatrach and DEPA began in 2000, and Sonatrach is currently the largest LNG supplier on the Greek market.
