Algerian state energy firm Sonatrach and Egyptian EPC company Petrojet have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will study of the opportunity and feasibility for the creation of a joint company, specialized in the design and manufacture, in Algeria, of static pressure equipment, certified ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers), as well as the provision of related services.
The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding is part of Sonatrach‘s strategy aimed at strengthening its control of the processes inherent in its development plan, in particular through the conclusion of high value-added partnerships aimed at the local manufacture of high-tech oil equipment and the provision of associated services, as well as specialized training, transfer of know-how and technology transfer.
Petrojet is a company specialized in construction and manufacturing in the field of the Oil & Gas industry in Onshore and Offshore (EPC & Commissioning) and operates in the Middle East and North Africa, particularly in Algeria.
