Sonatrach and NOC Discuss Joint Opportunities

Sonatrach Chief Executive Officer, Toufik Hakkar, received Libya’s NOC chief Mustafa Sanalla in Algiers to discuss several areas of cooperation, including exploration and production activities, petroleum services and training.

The question of resuming Sonatrach’s activities in Libya was also raised in light of improved security conditions. Sonatrach already operates in two blocks in Libya’s Ghadames Basin through its subsidiary SIPEX in the 065 and 96/95 exploration areas.

Sanalla expressed his gratitude for the high quality of work that has been carried out by Sonatrach which resulted in a set of discoveries.
