Sonatrach reports that two fields in the Berkine Sud license operated in cooperation with Italian firm Eni, have realized the start of production in just six months, as a result of the fast-track development program implemented by the pair.
The start of production of these two fields took place in September.
This new achievement allows a daily production of 1 million cubic meters of gas and 4,000 barrels of associated liquids. This production capacity is expected to be increased to 2 million cubic meters by the end of this year.
These additional quantities, added to the quantities produced by the two Berkine Nord fields, which entered production in July 2022, increase the volumes of gas produced by the Sonatrach – Eni partnership and contribute to the increase in Algerian gas exports intended for the market. European.
