CAMAC Energy reported that it has been informed by Allied Energy that the assignment of the Sedneth 701 rig, which it was supposed to take possession of on July 31, has been delayed. The rig was expected offshore Nigeria to spud the Oyo-7 well for CAMAC and Allied.
The Oyo-7 well will now be delayed due to unanticipated drilling problems at the well site where it is currently contracted. Efforts are currently underway to resolve the problems and have the rig released to Allied. CAMAC says it now expects the spud of the Oyo-7 to be delayed for at least two to four weeks.
