Friday, July 8, 2022

According to Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC), officials plan to reopen the Mabruk oilfield in the Q1 2023 at an initial production rate of up to 25,000 barrels per day. The oil filed was severely damaged during a 2015 attack.

In December 2020, NOC and French major Total, announced plans to rehabilitate Mabruk with a fast-tracked program. The field suffered hundreds of millions of dollars in equipment damage and losses.

Over the first half of 2022, NOC and Mabruk Oil Company have issued numerous pre-qualification notices for goods and services.
