The National Oil Corporation (NOC) of Libya announced that after years of the Ras Lanuf complex sitting idle and out of operation, the facility has been brought back online by the Ras Lanuf Oil and Gas Processing Company team.
On May 12, the company began the process of introducing naphtha into the furnaces and operation of the cracked gas compressor system (R10-1) commenced, leading to the production phase. This process came after successfully testing all systems of the various units in the ethylene factory.
NOC reports that the complex will operate at a capacity of no less than 70%, which will be gradually increased until it reaches its full operational capacity in the coming days
