A military C-130 plane chartered by Akakus Oil crashed shortly after takeoff from an airfield near Libya’s El Sharara oilfield, according to NOC. The crash killed three people.
The plane was carrying catering and maintenance supplies to the southwestern field.
The crash occurred took at 12:25 pm local time on April 29. Firefighters and paramedics quickly rushed to the scene, according to a NOC statement. The tragic incident resulted in the death of three crew members and the injury of one other who was evacuated by air to receive medical treatment in Tripoli.
