A pipeline feeding Nigeria’s Forcados terminal in the Niger Delta was rocked by an explosion on November 8. Local news reports indicated the attack happened while the line was undergoing repairs following a previous attack.
There was also a report on November 9 from Shell that the Escravos oil facility has been shut down by protesters. The facility was shut down by villagers staging a protest demanding aid.
Shell said the flow station on the pipeline operated by its JV partner SPDC was no longer processing crude.
