Libyan state-run oil and gas firm, National Oil Corp. (NOC), has allocated a number of blocks to Zalaf Oil & Gas Exploration and Production Company for oil exploration, according to the state-run firm’s website.
NOC said during the meeting between company chairman Mustafa Sanallah, and Khalifa Rajab, chairman of Zalaf management committee, other undeveloped oilfields were placed at the company’s disposal, which includes sedimentary basins in Murzuk, Ghadames, and Sirte.
These awards are some of the first made since Libya erupted into civil war in 2011.
