On February 13 NOC Chairman Mustafa Sanalla, along with the Director General of Eni North Africa,. Antonio Baldasari and Luca Colombo, signed an extension of the security management system of the memorandum of understanding signed between the pair in March 2019.
The MoU foresees a series of activities for the improvements of the security standards through a capacity-building program for NOC and Mellitah Oil Gas industrial security personnel.
Despite the challenging situation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NOC and Eni North Africa have been strongly committed to working closely to implement the MoU activity. To date, 23 courses have been delivered to over 800 Industrial Security Personnel, in 2 languages at 8 locations ( Tripoli & MOG Sites) across 2 countries (Libya and Turkey).
The MoU represents a step towards the improvement of security standards in Libyan Oil & Gas Industry to support petroleum operations. Despite the current challenging and unprecedented situation in Libya’s oil patch, NOC, in cooperation with Eni, remains fully committed and continues with the utmost effort to develop and improve the security standards for the oil and gas industry in Libya.
