Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has announced a new international petroleum bid round for 2023. The bid round will feature 23 new opportunities offered by two of its state companies.
The bid round will see EGPC (Egyptian General Petroleum Corp.) offer 10 areas while Ganope (South Valley Egyptian Petroleum Holding Company) will offer 13. The licenses on offer are spread across the Eastern Desert, Gulf of Suez, Red Sea, and Western Desert regions.
The Egyptian Upstream Gateway (EUG) platform will coordinate the available information including geographical studies and datasets on its portal. Interested parties will have until February 24, 2024 to submit their proposals here.
