The Assiut Oil Refining Company (ASORC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Enppi and Petrojet to construct a new atmospheric distillation facility at the Assuit refinery.
The total investment is estimated at EGP 6 billion and the facility will have a design capacity of 5 million tons per year and will include a gas recovery unit (butane).
The MoU was signed by Majid Al-Kurdi head of ASORC, Enppi’s Chairman and CEO Ashraf Bahaa, and Petrojet’s Chairman Waleed Lotfy, in the presence of Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek el Molla.
