NOC executives met with senior officials from Repsol to discuss the Spanish firms ongoing operations in the country including:
– Reducing gas emissions.
– Establishing a well monitoring center at the National Oil Corporation headquarters.
– Maintaining and improving the production of the El Sharara field.
– Joint cooperation in the development of fields.
– Social responsibility and sustainable development.
The participants also discussed the establishment of a gas liquefaction plant to provide cooking gas to neighboring areas and reduce burning operations and emissions. They also followed up on discussions regarding the start of a renewable energy project that calls for the study of electricity generation through solar energy and the possibility of using it in the company’s operations in its various locations.
It was also agreed to hold several workshops with the technical departments regarding maintaining and increasing production, as well as working on conducting studies on surface equipment to ensure the integrity of assets.
