Libya Closes Four Oil Ports Due to Storm

Libya’s National Oil Corporation said that it had declared a state of emergency on four of its oil ports due to a strong Mediterranean storm named Daniel that was moving toward the northern coast of Africa.

 

The four facilities were to remain temporarily closed at least three days or until at least noon local time Tuesday according to some reporting. The ports under closure are the Ras Lanuf, Zueitina, Brega, and Es Sider.

 

Daniel wreaked havoc In Greece, causing heavy flooding and at least 11 deaths.
