Algeria’s In Amenas gas plant will resume full production with the start of its third train before the end of the year. The plant was the site of a deadly militant attack in early-2013.
The plant is operated by BP, Statoil, and Sonatrach.
The third train is expected online either by the end of November or December, Algeria’s state-run oil and gas firm Sonatrach said in a statement. The third train will add an estimated 6 Mmcm/d of production at the plant once back online.
In addition, Sonatrach said that production from the CAFC perimeter at the Menzel Ledjmet field will be an estimated 10,000 bpd. The CAFC perimeter is jointly operated by Sonatrach and ENI.
