Hakkar Makes Inspection Visits to Hassi R’mel and Hassi Ilatou

The CEO of Sonatrach, Toufik Hakkar, made a working and inspection visit to the industrial area of ​​Hassi R’mel (Laghouat) and to the production area, Hassi Ilatou (Adrar), where he met with workers’ representatives to inquire about the various concerns and inaugurated several social and health structures, a Group press release said on Sunday.

Mr. Hakkar’s visit to the industrial zone of Hassi R’mel and the production zone of Hassi Ilatou, took place on February 18, 19 and 20, in the company of the Secretary General of the National Federation of Petroleum Workers , gas and chemicals, the Secretary General of the National Union of Sonatrach as well as a number of senior executives of the Group.

This visit, which takes place within the framework of “the consecration of the existing and permanent proximity communication between the General Management, the national union and the workers of the company, made it possible to follow up various concerns and opinions, with the aim of working to the improvement of the socio-professional conditions of the workers “, one affirms in the press release.

The delegation met the representatives of the workers of the Hassi R’mel area in order to inquire about the various concerns and demands, especially since the General Management and the social partner are committed to continue the work in order to find suitable solutions.

On the program for the second day, the delegation went to the Timimoune Group to visit the natural gas processing unit where 3 million cubic meters are produced daily while waiting to reach 5 million in the near future, specifies the press release.

On this occasion, Mr. Hakkar inaugurated a base of life equipped with all the conveniences, namely: a sports hall, a multisports ground, a polyclinic as well as spaces of relaxation for the benefit of the employees of the Group.

The delegation then went to the production area known as Hassi Ilatou in Adrar to inaugurate another base of life, carried out by the national company of Civil Engineering of Building (GCB), able to accommodate more 200 workers who will be able to benefit from the amenities available and work in good conditions.

On the last day of the field visit, the delegation inquired about the Oil Refinery located in Sebaa, attending at the same time exhibitions of extinguishing possible fires in the event of loading fuel tanks.

In the same complex, the start was made for the operation of the water treatment basins in order to preserve the environment and more particularly the groundwater.

At the end of its visit, the delegation proceeded to the distinction of the workers of the GCB company on the occasion of the anniversary of the nationalization of hydrocarbons, by presenting them with loyalty medals, the statement concluded. (APS)
