Hyperdynamics Video From
In July, the Company’s Chief Executive, Kent Watts traveled to Guinea, at the invitation of Prime Minister, Dr. Ahmed Tidian Souaré, and was asked to give a comprehensive update on the progress of exploration work under the September 2006 Production Sharing Contract between the Company and The Republic of Guinea. As reported previously, the delegation from Hyperdynamics included various members of management as well as two partners of the Washington based law firm of Patton Boggs LLC.
On Monday, July 21st, Hyperdynamics made a formal presentation, including a complete technical update, to the Prime Minister. Following the presentation the Prime Minister asked the delegation to meet with ten other ministers of the government as an introduction and a show of support and encouragement for the Company’s exploration work. While there, they were also invited once again to meet with the President of the National Assembly, Mr. Aboubacar Somparé. This first video release includes excerpts from meetings with Prime Minister Souaré, the then Minister Secretary General, Sam Soumah, the President of the National Assembly Somparé, and the Minister of Finance and Economy, Dr. Ousmane Dore.
On Wednesday, August 20, 2008, Prime Minister Souaré, as the Chief of Government of Guinea, sent a letter of thanks to Hyperdynamics for their recent visit to Guinea and their impressive demonstration of commitment to the Hydrocarbon Production Sharing Contract. Considering that this came on the heels of the letter of gratitude and solidarity from Guinea’s new Minister Secretary General of the President of Guinea, Mr. Alpha Ibrahima Keira; the Prime Minister’s letter was a notable expression of total support for the Company’s exploration efforts.
Acknowledging the Prime Minister’s encouragement, Kent Watts added, “We sincerely appreciate the Prime Minister’s recognition that the work we’ve performed in the last year in Guinea has indisputably resulted in mission-critical success in meeting our obligations to explore and analyze the concession area. Our vitally important work has now been confirmed and understood fully by the entire government of Guinea, in a manner of solidarity, beginning with the Chief of State, President Lansana Conté, the President of the National Assembly, Mr. Somparé, and now the Chief of the Government, Prime Minister Souaré. The Guinea Government is clearly urging us to move forward aggressively towards a world class discovery and this remains our primary focus.”
Regarding its memorable week long trip to Guinea in July 2008, the Company plans to release additional video segments in the coming weeks as they are completed and become available for viewing.
