GE Upgrades Egyptian Power Plant

GE Power completed upgrading two GE 9FA gas turbines at the Nubaria power plant. The plant, operated by Middle Delta Electricity Production Company (MDEPC), is located in Beheira, Egypt.

The completion of this project marks GE’s first upgrade of a 9FA turbine in the MEA region.

GE’s upgrade included the installation of its latest combustion solutions for the 9FA gas turbine including Advanced Gas Path (AGP), Advanced Extendors Combustion, and Dry Low NOx (DLN) 2.6+. The upgrade improved the power plant’s output by 6.7% and decreased its fuel consumption by 3%.
