Fire on Pipeline in Egypt

Monday, April 17, 2017

In Egypt a pipeline, the Katameya-Suez, that delivers butane saw a fire break out at its entrance. According to reports the fire was contained immediately.

The pipeline was pumping butane to warehouses in Katameya and temporarily stopped transporting butane and the valves before and after the location of the fire were turned off until further notice.

The accident did not affect Egypt’s butane reserves and local demands are being covered due to the stability in butane transmission between warehouses and filling stations.
