Algeria’s TFT Group has signed an Engineering, Procurement & Construction contract (EPC) with the National Petroleum Works Company (ENGTP) for work in the Illizi Basin, approximately 400 km southeast of Hassi Messaoud.
TFT Group is a joint venture of state firm Sonatrach and French major TotalEnergies.
The contract, valued at over $58 million, calls for work to extend the TFT II collection network, for the connection and production of 11 new wells to the existing processing center at the TFT gas field in the Illizi basin.
The services of this EPC contract include detailed engineering studies, the supply of equipment and materials, the creation of the collection network and flowlines and the construction of the surface installations of the associated wells.
Sonatrach says that upon completion of the EPC work, estimated to take 24 months, the completion of which will take place within 24 months, will enable the TFT Group to achieve gas production of around 9 million m3/d during the first phase.
