Energean and INA Nafta Awarded Western Desert Block

A consortium made up of Energean Egypt and Croatia’s INA Nafta was awarded an exploration license for the East Bir El-Nus concession (Block-8) in the Western Desert of Egypt. Both companies will hold a 50% stake while Energean will be the operator.
Under the award, the pair will conduct a 170 km 2D seismic survey, a 200 sq km 3D seismic survey as well as drill two exploration wells, which are expected to target estimated resources of approximately 100 million barrels of oil equivalent.
