Emerson Introducing Geolog 21

Emerson E&P Software announced the release of Geolog™ 21, the latest version of its industry-leading solution for formation evaluation and petrophysical analysis. Whether you’re a petrophysicist, a geologist or an engineer, Geolog 21 delivers the same proven Geolog technology and usability throughout the work cycle.

Geolog 21 has been designed with user convenience in mind – from enhanced automation and new petrophysical functionalities, to increased openness through expanded connectivity to the Open Group Open Subsurface Data Universe™ (OSDU™) and support for Petrel* 2021.

This version strengthens Geolog support for new energy opportunities in markets such as carbon capture and storage (CCS), geothermal energy, radioactive waste disposal and mining.

New and Enhanced Features in Geolog 21

• Reduced time to results through automation of petrophysical parameter picking
• Enriched petrophysics functionality with new Determin and Multimin options to address a wider range of environments
• Accelerated NMR processing and interpretation workflows with the addition of support for LWD NMR tools
• Consistent and faster petrophysics and rock physics workflows through enriched rock physics methodologies using shared mineral models
• Production log interpretation in high angle and horizontal wells enabled through support of array spinner tools
