The Egyptian Cabinet has approved three exploration and production (E&P) agreements with international majors as well as with national companies. The approvals came during a Cabinet meeting headed by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
The first agreement was signed between the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), IEOC Production B.V., and Lukoil Overseas Egypt ltd for E&P activities in the Meleiha concession in the North African country’s Western Desert.
The second agreement is between EGPC and BP for exploration activities in the South Offshore Ghareb concession in the Gulf of Suez.
And finally, the third agreement was signed between EGPC, Ganoub El Wadi Petroleum Holding Company (Ganope), and the Egyptian National Petroleum for Exploration and Development Company (Enpedco) for exploration and production in the Wadi Deb concession in the Eastern Desert.
