EGAS Launches Bid Round for 12 Oil and Gas Blocks

Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced that the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) has launched a new international 2024 bid round for 12 blocks in the Mediterranean and Nile Delta to cover both oil and natural gas exploration.

The blocks on offer include 10 offshore blocks and two onshore blocks and the round will run through February 2025. Further information on the bid rounds and blocks on offer can be found on the Egypt Upstream Gateway (EUG) website.
