Edison and EGPC to Move on Abu Qir Phase 2

Egypt’s state-run oil and gas firm EGPC and Italy’s Edison International have agreed to develop the second phase of the Abu Qir gas field. The field is located off Egypt’s Mediterranean coast.

The second phase of the Abu Qir development will see production rates of around 150 Mcf of gas and 6,000 bpd of crude.

Abu Qir was the first gas field developed in the Egyptian Mediterranean.
