Chevron’s unit in South Africa has offered to supply Eskom, the country’s state-utility firm, with excess diesel from refinery in Cape Town. The diesel would be used to help Eskom run off its generators.
Chevron’s GM for strategy at the South African unit, Steve Hegarty, told the country’s trade and industry committee that the firm would be able to produce diesel and store some supplies for Eskom.
